Samode is located approx. 42 km from Jaipur,
the Capital city of Rajasthan, the royal Indian State. This
small village is quite popular for its architecture
buildings such as haveli and fort. Samode is situated just
on the way to Shekhawati. Samode is very well connected to
Jaipur through a network of roads. Samode climate tends to
be on extreme like most of the other places of North India.
It is quite hot during summer with a rise in mercury upto
45oC and winters are quite cool and crispy with the dip in
the temperature to 5oC. Best time to visit here is from
October to March. It is quite popular royal wedding
destination of India. Samode Palace or Haveli and Samodh
Bagh are popular wedding destination of Rajasthan.
Picturesque location and majestic views of royal Rajasthan
are quite enthralling from the Samode Palace. Samode Palace
is a classic palace surrounded by even hills. This palace
does not belong to any royal family of Rajasthan like the
other havelis of Rajasthan. It belongs to a noble family,
the Rawals of Samode. It is about 400 years old and it is
modified afterwards. These noblemen were awarded the title
of ‘Maha Rawal’ by the royal family for the bravery and
loyalty towards the royal family. Now, Samode Palace is
transformed into a heritage hotel. It is built in the style
of an open courtyard with rooms having curved corridor that
runs along all the four sides of the \building. Sultan Mahal
is located on the first floor having an charming room with a
verandah of marble pillars. It has the decoration of the
famous Jaipur blue tiles. The walls and the ceiling are
covered with floral, paisley and geometric patterns painted
vegetables colors. There is Durbar Hall situated to the left
of the main haveli. This Durbar Hall was built 100 years
ago.
